Wimbledon comeback plans progress.

Following a successful board meeting, Wimbledon speedway's new management team boasts new new additions.

Rob McCaffrey has responsibility for the operation of the Dons NewsLine and brings with him a vast amount of experience from his connection with Rye House Speedway. The NewsLine with match reports, rider previews and other announcements when operational.

Paul Cobbin has been appointed as Community Liason Officer, and has a whole brief to sell the sport to local schools, clubs and organisations. Paul will be tasked with educating school children perhaps more used to the exploits of David Beckham than Mark Loram.

Wimbledon co-promoter David Croucher said " Having Rob and Paul on board further strengthens the management team, and we can move forward confidently to the grand re-opening of the famous Wimbledon Dons next May."
