New Somerset signing Neil Collins will celebrate his 25 years in speedway with a testimonial meeting. The date looks now set for Friday September 6th at Somerset with details of the meeting format expected to be forthcoming over the next week or so.
Showing that age is no barrier, Collins produced a vintage display of racing and scoring sixteen points when having a guiest booking for Newcastle at one of his former tracks, Stoke, on Saturday night.

The 40 year old rode more like a teenager winning his first four rides and being twice defeated by Stoke's Danish International Jan Staechmann.
For Collins' testimonial It is hoped that all five of the original Collins clan plus two of their racing offspring (Chris and Aiden) will feature in the meeting as well as Neil's own son Louis.
