Wilson back for Kings Lynn return.

Sheffield's inspirational skipper Sean Wilson has declared himself fit for a return to the saddle. He makes his comeback this Thursday for the Tigers' home meeting with Kings Lynn.

Wilson had surgery a couple of months ago to fix a persistent shoulder problem and is now ready to resume racing and will be eager to make up for lost time after kicking his heels in the pits.

He leads out his charges to face their challengers from Norfolk with the Yorkshiremen looking for a win, which would be good enough to claim the bonus point also after the Tigers went down by just two points at Kings Lynn last Saturday night in a last heat decider.

Shane Parker and Tomas Topinka form an extremely powerful spearhead with Davey Watt a reliable third heat leader but there's little substance to the Lynn line up after that and the Tigers will be confident of taking a win with their greater all-round strength being the key.

That all round strength - allied with not a little determination - was the key to Sheffield defeating Elite League Belle Vue last week and more of the same on Thursday will be too good for Kings Lynn.

Sheffield are due to make a major announcement concerning the future of the club at the pre-meeting parade. Tigers co-promoter Neil Machin said: "We want the fans to know first. It's big news and it's a team matter."

Teams:

Sheffield
Sean Wilson, Andrew Moore, Scott Smith, James Birkinshaw, Andre Compton, Ricky Ashworth, Ben Wilson

Kings Lynn
Tomas Topinka, Steffen Mell, Davey Watt, Shane McCabe, Shane Parker, James Brundle, Trevor Harding
