Pedersen wins Danish Championship.

Oxford's Nicki Pedersen roared away to the Danish Championship at Holstead last night. He scored a perfect fifteen points from his five rides. Hans Andersen and Jesper Jensen filled the minor rostrum positions after a run-off.

Jensen, currently without a British club, gave notice that any Elite League promoters looking around for a rider could do worse than buy him a 'plane ticket.

Bjarne Pedersen raced home in fourth place with Newcastle's fast-rising teenager Kenneth Bjerre in fifth with eleven points. Ronni Pedersen was a further point back in sixth place and lost his chance of joining Andersen and Jensen in the run-off after suffering a tapes exclusion in his final ride of the evening.

Andersen, Jensen, Bjerre and Ronni and Bjarne Pedersen now go forward to the next stage of the world championship qualifiers and a step closer to a possible Grand Prix place in 2004.
