Berwick to re-stage "Stars" meeting if possible.

Berwick speedway's attempt to stage the "Stars of Tomorrow" Junior Championship fell victim to the foul May weather with the Shielfield Park track became totally waterlogged after two days of heavy rain including flash-floods on Saturday morning.

The dozen youngsters were told of the decision to put off the event at around midday and may not be restaged, unless a suitable free date becomes available.

In the mean time, the Bandits return to Premier League action this Saturday night at Shielfield Park at 7pm when Carl Stonehewer and his Workington Comets come to town in what is sure to be a hectic and full-of-action local derby.
