Bryan Bouffier is hoping for another 'good result' in Latvia next week when he takes in the second round of the 2014 FIA European Rally Championship.

Bouffier put in a stunning performance on Rallye Monte Carlo recently, the 2014 WRC season opener, finishing second overall in an M-Sport-run Ford Fiesta RS WRC [see separate HERE], and following that success he will be looking for more of the same, even though this will be his first proper winter rally and also his first outing in a Citroen DS3 RRC.

"It would have been better to go [out] on the first [ERC] event in Austria as well but it hasn't been possible. For me it [Rally Liepaja] is a great challenge and one more time I will get the opportunity to drive a good car and the first time I drive a completely snow event with full studs so I am sure it will be good fun," said the Frenchman.

"It will be my first time on a pure winter rally in the forests so I don't know what it will be like and if I will be quick or not. It's one more challenge for me. But hopefully yes, it will be nice," he replied when asked if he agrees he will start as one of the favourites.

Meanwhile, Bouffier added at this stage his run in Latvia is a one-off and that he has nothing agreed to do any more ERC rounds.

"For the moment it's just one shot but then we will see. Hopefully we can get a good result and will see if it can help me to do more events," added the 29-year-old, who finished as runner-up to Skoda's Jan Kopecky in the ERC last year.
