New Foggy Petronas Racing rider Steve Martin will join team-mate Garry McCoy in using Alpinestars racing products for the forthcoming World Superbike campaign.

The 35-year-old Australian has agreed a one-year deal with the world-leading manufacturer of professional racing products, high-performance apparel, technical footwear and sportswear.

Fellow Aussie McCoy has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Alpinestars and the 2005 season will be the second time that Alpinestars have supported both FPR riders, after both Troy Corser and James Haydon in 2003.

"I am delighted to have joined up with Alpinestars," Martin said. "Their leathers and other racing products are second to none and I'm looking forward to displaying their products on the podium on a regular basis next season."

Alpinestars will be supplying Steve with the very latest technology in leather suits, protective gear, riding boots and gloves.

Martin will join an illustrious list of the world's most successful racers, past and present, who have contributed to the research and development program that Alpinestars conducts at the highest levels of motorcycle and auto racing - all part of Alpinestars drive to enhance performance and safety on both road and track.
