Toseland loses out after high-side.
World Superbike champion James Toseland lost out on the final day of the first official WSBK test at Qatar, after suffering a major high-side.
James had consistently been in the top five over the course of the weekend but was unable to don a pair of qualifying tyres and set a flying lap like the rest of the WSBK field, due to bruising sustained in the accident.
"I was going into the second of the three successive fast right-handers and the rear let go," explained Toseland. "I just looped over and landed on my side. I've never been up that high before!

"Everything's OK, I just need a couple of days rest, that's all and then I'll be back. It's a pity really, because the bike felt a lot better this afternoon and it was unlucky to cancel out the progress we had made," he concluded.
