Team Manager, Johan Stigefelt said, "I am delighted to say that we have reached an agreement with Joshua Brookes for 2008. I think he is perfect for us. Not only because we already have a good working relationship, but also because I think he is one of the most talented riders in the championship."

The team are pleased to have both rider signed up so early as he went on to say, "I'm also very happy to have reached this agreement this early, as it will give us lots of time to test and prepare for next season. I know Josh is determined to win the championship next year and we will do everything we can to give him the right tools for the job."

Brookes is happy with his decision saying, "I'm glad to have signed with Stiggy Motorsport Honda. I think staying in one team for a long time can be very good. It makes the team stronger because everyone knows how to get the best out of each other. The team and I have the same goal, but more importantly we have the same outlook on how to reach it. I have a good feeling with Johan as well as the team crew. Although we have only been working together for the last five rounds, it feels like much longer - and this will make all the difference at the start of next season."

The team and Brookes are planning on picking up the World Supersport title next season, "My goal for next year is to become Supersport World Champion. With the superb, strong equipment of the Stiggy team, I do believe this is possible. Most teams and riders are still working on this year; I am already focusing on next season. The team will be working long and hard in the off-season and I plan to work just as hard. I know haven't had the ideal start to my world career, but I do have the Aussie determination to make it to the top," he concluded.
