World Superbike organisers have confirmed the race weekend schedule for the 2018 British round while there will be no speculated third race at Donginton Park.

The Leicestershire circuit is set to welcome World Superbikes on May 25-27 with a bumper programme as the newly-formed British Talent Cup joins the schedule alongside the World Superbike, World Supersport, World Supersport 300 and European Superstock 1000 championships.

Earlier this year a rumoured triple header race weekend had been mooted for the British round at Donington Park, as well as the Portuguese round at Portimao in mid-September, but upon the race weekend schedule confirmation the round will retain its familiar two-race format.

Having been taken over by MotorSport Vision over the winter, Donington Park has undergone a raft of updates including a new restaurant, bar, café, toilet blocks and grandstands ahead of 2018.

The World Superbike grid get on track on Friday for the opening free practice session at 09:45AM before two further free practice sessions at 12.30PM and 16:05PM (all local time). World Superbike Superpole qualifying will take place on Saturday morning at 10:45AM followed by race one in the afternoon on 13:15PM, with Sunday’s race two taking place slightly earlier at 13:00PM.

The rumoured triple-header at Portimao is yet to be confirmed by organisers as the finer details of the World Superbike Portuguese round are yet to be finalised.
