Toprak Razgatlioglu will sit out race two at Laguna Seca after his heavy high-side down the iconic corkscrew in which he sustained a broken toe.

The Puccetti Kawasaki rider had been battling inside the top 10 in the opening race of the US round when he was thrown into a high-side coming down the corkscrew turn on lap 20. The Turkish rider suffered a nasty fall down the track and was immediately taken to the track medical centre as a precaution.

Despite being given the all-clear from any major injuries he sustained a fracture on the outside of the bottom of his left big toe which means he’ll be unable to contest Sunday’s race two.

Razgatlioglu has impressed during his rookie World Superbike campaign while he produced a starring performance with second place in race two at Donington Park last month. The Turkish rider, mentored by Kenan Sofuoglu, currently sits eighth in the riders’ championship and second in the Independent riders’ standings for Puccetti Kawasaki.
