Jonathan Rea has chipped away at Alvaro Bautista’s advantage at the top of the practice times in Thailand in the short FP3 session before qualifying.
While Bautista continues to lead the times following Friday practice, setting a lap time 0.001s slower than his best effort in FP2, Rea remains in close contention and has found overnight gains to move within two-tenths of a second of the Aruba.it Racing Ducati rider.

Alex Lowes leads the Yamaha charge in third place jumping ahead of Sandro Cortese (GRT Yamaha), with Leon Haslam moving up to fifth place on the factory Kawasaki in front of the second Pata Yamaha of Michael van der Mark.
Marco Melandri continues to be a touch off his fellow Yamaha riders, dropping behind BMW’s Tom Sykes, with Chaz Davies finding lap time gains to move up to ninth place for Aruba.it Racing Ducaiti.
Markus Reiterberger rounds out the top ten on the second BMW after pushing Go Eleven Ducati’s Eugene Laverty into 11th spot, while Ryuichi Kiyonari surged up the times to 12th place on the Moriwaki-Althea Honda.
