Toprak Razgatlioglu has topped the final practice session in mixed conditions at Magny-Cours with World Superbike title leader Jonathan Rea slotting into second place.

The Puccetti Kawasaki rider’s late 1m 38.777s rewarded him with top spot in the 20-minute FP3 which was run in dry conditions albeit with damp patches around the circuit following heavy rain from Friday.

Rea grabbed second place, just 0.164s off the Turkish rider, as he looks to close in on the 2019 World Superbike title thanks to his 91-point advantage over Alvaro Bautista.

Loris Baz, who impressed throughout Friday in the wet, claimed third place in FP3 for Ten Kate Racing Yamaha with Friday’s fastest rider overall Michael van der Mark taking fourth place for Pata Yamaha.

With BMW’s Tom Sykes in fifth place, Aruba.it Racing Ducati’s Chaz Davies surged up to sixth place thanks to his final lap in the session to displace Leon Haslam into seventh spot.

Alex Lowes grabbed eighth place for Pata Yamaha ahead of Eugene Laverty on the Team Goeleven Ducati, with Bautista rounding out the top 10 on the factory Ducati.

Leon Camier has made a solid start to his World Superbike return from injury, having been out of action since May, with the Moriwaki Althea Honda rider taking 11th place in the short session in front of GRT Yamaha’s Sandro Cortese and BMW’s Markus Reiterberger.

With the second GRT Yamaha of Marco Melandri in 14th, Ryuichi Kiyonari took 15th place for the Honda squad ahead of Jordi Torres (Pedercini Kawasaki), Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Barni Ducati) and Leandro Mercado (Orelac Kawasaki).
