The provisional 2012 World Supersport Championship entry list has been unveiled with 32 riders set to participate in the series full-time this season.

The strong entry list is headed up by Honda, which has 17 representatives on the grid, including six bikes prepared by PTR, though eight-time champions Ten Kate Racing will slim down to just a single machine for Broc Parkes in 2012.

Kawasaki, meanwhile, are presenting a promising five-strong line-up in 2012, luring 2007 and 2010 champion Kenan Sofuoglu to its new factory-backed DeltaFin team, alongside Sheridan Morais, while Fabien Foret - who finished third in 2011 - will ride a ZX-6R prepared by Czech outfit Intermoto Step Racing.

Having been taken to title glory by ParkinGO in 2011, there will be nine versions of the Yamaha YZF-R6 this season, including one for Superstock 600 champion Jed Metcher, who joins the Russian RivaMoto team. Interestingly, having previously announced it would run a Kawasaki for Jules Cluzel, WTR Ten 10 Racing are now classified as entering a Yamaha for Massimo Roccoli.

Other notable entrants include Superstock 1000 front runner Andrea Antonelli on a Lorini Honda alongside Roberto Tamburini, plus new two-man entries from the East European and VFT teams.

Missing from the list, however, is three-time WSS race winner Luca Scassa, who was linked with a possible ride on an MV Agusta prepared by Team Alstare, though the team speculated that any entry would come later in the season. There is also no sign of Florian Marino - eighth in 2011 - and WSS veteran Robbin Harms.
