I, Superbiker - coming to a cinema near you!

A new film set to be released in the spring will, for the first time, feature the exploits of four motorcycle racers as they compete at speeds of up to 200mph. I, Superbiker, shot in high-definition, follows four riders as they race wheel-to-wheel in the 2010 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship.

The two-wheeled gladiators risk life-and-limb at each race meeting knowing that there can be only one champion. As well as capturing stunning on-track action, the film goes behind-the-scenes to follow the unfolding drama amongst wives, girlfriends, team-mates and managers. Everyone wants their rider to win, and passions are aroused when things go wrong.

The heroes of the story are Tommy Hill, Josh Brookes, James Ellison and Gary Mason. Hill is the great British hope - having cheated death at the age of just 14, he is now fearless. Countryman Ellison has made incredible personal sacrifices to race; he finished second the previous year, and must become champion to save his career.

Brookes earned the nickname 'Bad Boy' after receiving a two-race ban during his debut season in 2009; an Australian who races in black leathers, he would love to steal the crown from the Brits. Mason is the oldest of the quartet and competes on a factory-prepared Kawasaki; unfortunately, with his performances declining, 2010 will be his last season if he doesn't start winning.

Emphatically not an 'end-of-season review', I, Superbiker is an authentic documentary intimately following the fortunes of four riders knowing that only one of them can win.

Directed by Mark Sloper ('Final Cut' and 'Small Time Obsession'), the film score is by David Vanian of The Damned, with music by Phil Collen of Def Leppard and Man Raze.

I, Superbiker will be launched on 10 March at cinemas nationwide, and will be available on DVD on 4 April. For the full list of screenings, visit: www.isuperbiker.com
