Baz BSB return scuppered

Loris Baz's hopes of returning to the MCE British Superbike Championship this season have been dealt a blow after encountering ongoing issues between his sponsor and his former Motorpoint Yamaha team.

The Frenchman was forced to cede his ride with the Rob Mac Racing team ahead of the Brands Hatch round after running into financial difficulties, but had hopes of returning before the year was out.

However, having taken to his Twitter account to reveal he had some 'good news to come', he updated to say a 'financial problem' was stopping him from coming back.

"I think my last good news will not come, due to the financial problem between my sponsor and my ex-team Motorpoint Yamaha. I cannot race in England anymore this season until this is sorted!"

Baz was enjoying a solid first full season with Motorpoint Yamaha and was in outside contention for a top six shootout berth before being forced to curtail his campaign. His best BSB result was a fourth place finish at Croft.
