Symmons: No change to Pro-Test schedule

The pre-season Pro-Test organised by ex-Honda and Norton team manager Barry Symmons will go ahead as scheduled at Cartagena in March.

The test will run from March 8-11 and is open to riders competing in international, British championship, MRO and Irish Superbike classes.

Organiser Symmons wished to clarify the dates following the announcement of the official BSB testing schedule, which includes a shakedown at Cartagena from March 1-3 and Alcarass in Spain from March 4-7.

"The traditional Pro-Test will go ahead as originally planned," Symmons said. "The usual classes are catered for and we also welcome those riders planning to compete in the new Lightweight (Supertwins 650) race at the Isle of Man TT.

"I wanted to clarify the situation because I had received a number of queries from riders unsure whether the Pro-Test would be affected by the official BSB tests.

"We have a strong entry at present for the Pro-Test and are looking forward to welcoming riders and teams at Cartagena from March 8-11, where Pirelli and Dunlop tyres will be officially represented."

The Pro-Test regularly attracts the leading riders from road racing and the British championships and any rider requiring further information is asked to contact Symmons on: 07714245402.
