BMP statement following the death of Tim Levy.

The BMP have expressed their deepest sympathies following the tragic death of Tim Levy in yesterday's British 250cc Championship event at Cadwell Park.

The 28 year old Honda rider had qualified in 11th position, but was involved in a horrific multi bike pile-up soon after the start.

The statement reads:

"On 27th August, at approximately 17:45hrs, at the start of the British 250 Championship motorcycle event, there was an incident on track involving Tim Levy from Bury St Edmunds.

"Mr Levy was immediately attended to by the circuit Doctors and paramedics, but sadly his injuries proved fatal.

"BMP would like to extend their deepest sympathies to Mr Levy's family, relatives and friends."
