The Sendo Superbikes Team has officially launched its 2005 BSB campaign, which will see the team field Steve Plater and Jon Kirkham on Kawasaki ZX-10s run by Dienza Performance Racing.

Dienza Performance Racing, created by Enzo and Diane DiClemente, has consistently achieved notable success since first competing in 1998 and in 2002 the team progressed to the prestigious World Supersport series.

However, the lure of British Superbikes saw the team return to Britain in 2003 and they would join forces with UK mobile phone manufacturer Sendo in 2004. The team, which ran Dean Thomas last year, have doubled their rider numbers and replaced Ducati machinery with Kawasakis for 2005.

"This year, Sendo has significantly advanced its involvement and will be focusing our efforts on leveraging the Sendo Superbikes Team globally," said Sendo global marketing director Kevin Lawless. "Together with Kawasaki, Dienza Performance, and our two top riders, we are poised for success and have our sights set on winning more on and off the track."

The 2005 BSB season will start at Brand Hatch on March 28.
