Second fastest was the lap record holder Kiyonari on the HM Plant Honda and in third place was Simon Andrews on the Jentin Yamaha. Andrews normally runs in supersport but this weekend he is racing in both superbike and supersport. It looks like all the additional track time is paying off with him finishing practice in third place on a privately run Yamaha. He out paced most of the regular suspects on his superbike debut, a very impressive start.

Young guns, Johnny Rea and Tommy Hill were also on form with the Red Bull Honda rider in fourth and the Virgin Mobile Yamaha in fifth with his team-mate Billy McConnell in eighth.

Jon Kirkham who is replacing Shane Byrne following his high speed off in free practice one also was on the pace finishing in tenth place with Rizla's regular rider James Haydon in eleventh.
