Thomas plans Croft return.

After a two month injury-induced absence, Hawk Kawasaki's Dean Thomas intends to return to BSB action at this weekend's Croft round.

Thomas will be back on track for the first time since his huge Snetterton accident, which occurred after he collided with Rizla Suzuki's James Haydon, who had run straight on at the Esses.

The impact left Thomas with four broken ribs and a punctured lung, but the Sheffield based Australian now feels the time is right to get back on a bike.

"It's been a long time since I raced and I've been missing it a lot, I need to get out on a bike," said Dean. "I know it will be tough, but the only way to get bike fit is to be on your bike. I've had a few tests with Hawk before now and I've not felt so bad. If I am unable to race, I won't as I don't want to risk further injury. I have been working hard down the gym and I'd like to get a couple of decent results at Croft, which is a circuit I like."
