Andrews: I'm top of most lists.

Simon Andrews is confident he will land a good ride in the 2009 Bennetts British Superbike Championship, despite the rider market stalling as some teams decide where they will be competing next year.

Andrews has done a fine job aboard the Lloyds Jentin Yamaha this season, often proving the best of the rest behind the more fancied runners, while his recent performances through injury have also given his reputation a significant boost in the paddock.

As such, Andrews is being touted for big things in the future, a tag that he believes is garnering plenty of interest amongst many teams, even if he has not opened talks with anyone just yet.

"I have nothing sorted as yet, but I have been talking to quite a few teams and, as far as I know, I am on top of most people's lists," he admitted to Crash.net Radio.

The specifics of his move will likely depend on the where certain outfits compete next year, with Airwaves Ducati and HM Plant Honda both tipped to be graduating to the world series in 2009.

"A lot of the teams are working out what championship they want to play in next year, but until that happens and until people move, I don't know where I stand. At the moment, I haven't even spoken to my own team."

Indeed, Airwaves and HM Plant are the two teams Andrews has singled out as his preferred choice if he is to improve his future prospects.

"I would love to ride for Airwaves or HM Plant. I think Neil (Tuxworth) and Colin (Wright) could further my career a lot faster than I could do it, so I would love to ride for those guys."
