Dutch rider Jaimie Van Sikkerlerus will take part in his second British Supersport season after electing to stay in the BSB paddock.

Van Sikkerlerus, a former WorldSSP rider for the same MPM Routz Racing Yamaha Team, made his debut in the Quattro Group British Supersport championship in 2021.

Sikkerlerus claimed several top ten finishes along with a maiden podium at Donington Park being the highlight of his rookie campaign.

Sikkerlerus added: "Our biggest reason to choose this championship again was because of the great atmosphere at events, the racing fans and the unique tracks, combined with the high level racing makes it a great experience for me as a rider and for the team.

"In 2021 all the tracks were new for me except Donington Park GP where we took our first podium. This year we are extremely motivated to take another step in the championship and knowing the tracks now will help a lot.

"I would like to thank all my loyal sponsors and the 125 Club for their support, helping me to achieve my dreams. We do this together! I also want to say a special thanks to all the fans and the media for their support; we are looking forward to a great 2022 season."

Sikkerlerus, who has five years of experience in the world championship, is currently the only Supersport rider on the grid to have previously swapped WorldSSP for the British series.
