Double award for Jackson.

Mat Jackson has been given reason to cheer ahead of the final rounds of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship after picking up two awards - both of which have been voted for by BTCC fans.

The BMW Dealer Team UK man came out on top of a vote by members of the forum on the official BTCC website, who clubbed together to fund a trophy for their favourite driver of the 2008 season.

Jackson narrowly beat BTCC rookie Micky Doyle to the title and will be presented with his trophy during Finals Day at Brands Hatch this weekend. Surplus funds collected towards the trophy will donated to the UK's trackside marshals.

For the second time, Jackson has also clinched the HiQ Champagne Moment award, as voted for by visitors to the HiQ website.

Having previously secured the honour for his heroics in the wet at Croft, the second Champagne Moment success came on the back of his strong performance at Silverstone, where Jackson bounced back from an accident in race two to win race three from 13th on the grid.

Jackson beat fellow BMW driver Rob Collard and Doyle to the award and will be presented with a magnum of champagne by Kay Huskinson from Thetford - who was one of those to log their vote.
