Brands Hatch Leyland Lovelies revealed!
Like a modern-day Fairy Godmother, leading trade paint brand Leyland has waved its magic wand to turn the dreams of two aspiring grid girls into reality after they triumphed in Leyland's 'Be A Leyland Lovely For The Day' competition.
Amanda Wheal and Louise Mayhew fought off strong competition from four other finalists to come out on top and win the opportunity to strut their stuff on the grid for leading Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) outfit Airwaves BMW at the season finale at Brands Hatch this weekend.
All eyes will be on the team over the course of the weekend as Ben Collins - formerly know as Top Gear's 'Stig' - will be lining up on the grid to join regular drivers Steven Kane and Mat Jackson in the third Airwaves BMW car.
"The competition initially opened in July and attracted a huge number of entries," revealed Leyland brand manager Nicki Hickman, "so it is testament to Amanda and Louise that they came out on top. They fully deserve their places on the grid alongside our Leyland Lovelies Tina and Sophie, and we're as excited about having them as they undoubtedly are!"
