Honda's Dan Cammish jumps to the top of the British Touring Car Championship timesheets after setting a blistering pace during the second practice at Rockingham.

The Honda Civic Type-R driver catapulted himself to the top of the times after going over 0.5s quicker than the session's existing benchmark, which was set by Senna Proctor, midway through the running.

Although Cammish's 1 minute 22.817s wasn't to be beaten, Team HARD's Mike Bushell came perilously close to knocking the Team Dynamics driver off the top spot after setting a time just 0.019s shy of the pacesetter.

Having led most of the first half of the 40-minute running, Vauxhall's Proctor settled for the third fastest time, ahead of Matt Simpson in fourth.

FP1 pacesetter Tom Ingram ended the second session in fifth, marginally ahead of Sam Tordoff, Adam Morgan, Jack Goff and Bobby Thompson.

Just 0.065s was all that could cover the times from Ingram in fifth, to Thompson in ninth.

AmD's Ollie Jackson made a late improvement to jump into the top-ten order with the tenth quickest effort.

Team BMW debutant Ricky Collard continued to gain all important mileage aboard his West Surrey Racing prepared BMW 125i M Sport. The BTCC rookie shaved 0.6s off his previous FP1 effort to set the 27th fastest time in FP2, despite suffering a brief off at Brook corner earlier in the session.
