At the age of 19 not many drivers can put two F1 teams on their CVs but Callum Ilott is a driver who has caught the attention of many in the F1 paddock.

After leaving the Red Bull junior programme after one year in 2015, Ilott has been picked up as part of the Ferrari Driver Academy from the start of this year.

After three years in the FIA European Formula 3 championship, the Cambridge-born teen moves into the GP3 Series for 2018 with defending champions ART Grand Prix to effectively take 2017 champion George Russell’s race seat.

Ilott will need to beat experienced team-mates in Anthoine Hubert and fellow Brit Jake Hughes if he can maintain his progression as part of the Italian manufacturer’s junior programme.

The British driver was a serial winner during his karting days with multiple national and international titles to his name but since switching to single-seater racing in 2015 the championships have dried up – something vital he has to change to continue his progress towards F1.
