The Jordan team is all set to make an unscheduled appearance on 'home' ground this summer, with confirmation that it will be an integral part of Belfast's Millennium Motorsport Festival.
The team will appear at the Belfast City Open+Direct Festival at Stormont on the 28 August Bank Holiday, with former grand prix star John Watson slated to drive one of last year's Mugen-powered 199 chassis as well as one of its first Ford-engined models.

The team will appear at the Belfast City Open+Direct Festival at Stormont on the 28 August Bank Holiday, with former grand prix star John Watson slated to drive one of last year's Mugen-powered 199 chassis as well as one of its first Ford-engined models.
The occasion will mark the first time a contemporary Formula One team has run an F1 car in Northern Ireland since the 1950s, with Watson recreating his role as Jordan's first ever test driver - a position he held back in 1991. The team plans to send a number of staff, plus representatives from Mugen, direct from the Belgian GP to the Festival, as plans for Jordan's involvement continue to evolve.
''From what we have seen, the Belfast City Open+Direct Millennium Motorsport Festival promises to be the most spectacular event in the history of motorsport in Northern Ireland,'' said team boss Eddie Jordan, ''We have seen the entry list, and I think that the organisers have done a truly remarkable job. I am delighted that we will be able to send two of our most important cars, and that John Watson will be there to drive them. The sight of our cars driving along that famous avenue up to Stormont will be quite extraordinary.''
Tickets for the spectacular will be on sale from Thursday [1 June] and available on 08700 722100. prices start at ?15-00 for adults and ?7-50 for the under-fourteens and senior citizens.
