After a day at Fiorano yesterday, the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro team spent today testing at the Mugello track with Luca Badoer and Rubens Barrichello at the wheel of two cars. The first to start lapping was Badoer who did his installation lap at 11.45, and Barrichello followed suit half an hour later.

After a day at Fiorano yesterday, the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro team spent today testing at the Mugello track with Luca Badoer and Rubens Barrichello at the wheel of two cars. The first to start lapping was Badoer who did his installation lap at 11.45, and Barrichello followed suit half an hour later.

Today's test session was dedicated to trying out electronics for the upcoming Spanish GP when the new technical regulations are due to come into force. Badoer's tests concentrated on engine management electronics while Barrichello was involved in testing other areas of the car's functions affected by the changes in the rules - the gearbox and LSD management system and starts (10 practices).

The test session, which also saw the Minardi and Sauber teams at work on their cars, finished at 19.00 (7pm).

Ferrari will return to Mugello tomorrow to continue testing with Michael Schumacher taking over from Luca Badoer alongside Rubens Barrichello.
