When F1 medical delegate Prof. Sid Watkins asked the BMW WilliamsF1 Team to support his Grand Prix Party at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this year. Little did we know that Spice Girl, Mel C, would be literally jumping up and down on her seat to bid for Williams' prize!

Melanie C, also known as 'Sporty Spice', was so keen to buy a ticket to the official BMW WilliamsF1 Team test session at Silverstone she climbed onto her seat so she could be seen by the auctioneer! Fortunately she was seen and her bid of ?8,500.00 went to the British Brain and Spine Foundation which raised ?100,000 by the end of the evening.

Mel C wanted to buy this special treat in order to support the charity and allow her brother Paul, who is currently driving a Tech-Speed Peugeot 306 in the British Touring Car Championship, the chance of a lifetime. "I'm totally made up with this," said brother Paul after receiving a tour of the pit garage from Juan Pablo Montoya himself.
