Tickets are now on sale for the 2002 Grand Prix Party, where celebrities from the glamorous worlds of F1 and pop music join forces in aid of the Brain and Spine Foundation.

As the curtain raiser to the 2002 Formula One season, this all out night of entertainment promises a star-studded line up when it takes over London's most prestigious concert venue, the Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday, 12th February 2002.

Last year, the inaugural Grand Prix Party's star billing included Carol Vorderman as co-host, Jools Holland, Chris Rea, Five, Gabrielle, Mike and the Mechanics.

F1 fans were delighted by on stage appearances by a host of F1 stars including Damon Hill, Nigel Mansell, Niki Lauda, Jaguar's number 1 driver Eddie Irvine, F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone, Team Bosses Eddie Jordan and Ron Dennis, and the legendary Voice of Formula One, Murray Walker.

The 2001 event raised over ?100,000 for the Brain and Spine Foundation and ensured, by popular demand, it would become a regular fixture on the F1 calendar.

The 2001 Grand Prix Party also saw the launch of the F1 Oscars, when the sport's top personalities received awards in the shape of the F1 supremo, Bernie Ecclestone, for their outstanding contribution to Formula One.

In 2001, these eponymous new 'Bernie' awards went to Michael Schumacher (Driver of the Year), Jenson Button (Best Newcomer), Murray Walker (Lifetime Achievement) and FIA Medical Delegate, Professor Sid Watkins, for his Outstanding Contribution to the Safety of F1.
