The chance to own a little piece of motorsport history only comes along once in a while, but Formula One fans now have the opportunity to get their hands on a rare copy of the iconic Autocourse yearbook.

A limited leather-bound version of the 50th edition, covering the 2000 motorsport season, is currently up for auction on the internet site eBay, and represents a genuine chance to own a collectors' item.

The book is in mint condition - having never even been browsed, let alone read - and comes complete with the signature of editor, and legendary F1 journalist, Alan Henry. The leather-binding was a special touch to mark the tome's 50th birthday, and was produced in a limited run of 150. The copy on offer is number 101 of that run.

Autocourse is now in its 58th year, and remains the definitive account of each Formula One campaign, as well as covering other series, major and minor, worldwide. However, while each edition has become a genuine collectors' item in its own right, as the title boasts an unrivalled heritage recognised by the entire motorsport community, the 50th issue was rightly celebrated as a milestone.
