Sergio Perez is at risk of losing his podium finish in Sunday's Azerbaijan Grand Prix after the Formula 1 race stewards summoned the Force India driver over a possible DRS infringement.

Perez bounced back from an early pit stop to rise to third place in the closing stages of a dramatic race at the Baku City Circuit that marked both his own and the team's first podium finish almost two years.

However, the Mexican driver was called before the stewards along with Williams' Lance Stroll and Haas' Kevin Magnussen over a possible improper usage of DRS on two occasions during the race.

Race control confirmed on Lap 17 that the first DRS detection point was inactive after receiving complaints from Brendon Hartley and Kimi Raikkonen about their GPS having issues, with officials allowing manual operation for five laps before the issue was resolved.

Perez had already served a five-second time penalty during the race for passing before the first Safety Car line on the restart in the opening stages of the race, conducted at his final pit stop before his late charge to the podium.
