The rebranded NIO 333 Formula E squad has announced its driver line-up for the 2019/20 campaign, with Ma Qing Hua partnering team regular Oliver Turvey.

Fresh investment from Shanghai Lisheng Racing has seen ‘333’ element added to the Chinese outfit’s name, which will benefit from an enhanced operational collaboration with Lisheng Racing.

NIO made the announcement ahead of the start of pre-season testing in Valencia, while also revealing the team’s revised livery design for season six.

It’s new NIO 005 challenger will be driven by Turvey and Ma, who makes his return to FE after a series of appearances for Team Aguri, Techeetah and NIO across season two, season three and season four of the championship.

"It's our greatest pleasure to collaborate with NIO and participate in Formula E,” said NIO’s CEO Vincent Wang.

"NIO has achieved great results in the past, and the NIO 333 FE Team will thrive to live on that heritage.

"The championship is a great platform for Chinese motorsports to enter the world stage, and we are very happy to be here.

"We are ready to both join the FE family and to take on the challenges, and we hope that the team will continue to make progress with our efforts.

"We are also looking forward to see the moment the red lights go out."

NIO is looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2018/19 campaign in which it finished 11th and last in the championship standings.

The team managed just three points finishes across the season, all of which were managed by Turvey as teammate Tom Dillmann failed to register a point.
