Vision Racing has re-signed Ed Carpenter and A.J. Foyt IV for the 2008 IndyCar Series season.

The outfit which was formed in 2005, when IRL founder and boss Tony George purchased the assets of the defunct Kelly Racing squad, ran three cars last season, but will enter just two in 2008 with Tomas Scheckter having already confirmed a limited programme with the Luczo Dragon Racing operation.

Carpenter, who will be participating in his fourth consecutive season with Vision Racing, recorded just six top-10 finishes for the team last year. He is however hoping to improve upon that in '08.

"I wasn't able to capitalise on the team's growth in 2007 like I wanted," said Ed. "I had some good runs last season, but I expected more. It seemed that more often than not we were the victim of bad luck last year and we've got to look to create our own good fortune this year.

"The potential, both in myself and the team are there, we just have to make it happen this season."

Foyt meanwhile is returning for his second season with Vision and he will drive the #2 machine. Having recorded his first career top-five finish in '07 he is looking forward to seeing what he can do.

"Last season was really good for me in that I was able to prove to myself that I can be successful in these cars. After a taste of what the team and I can do together, I am excited about getting back out there this season and working together to be even better," he added.
