Crash.net MotoGP podcast with Keith Huewen: Marquez wins at COTA, Moto3 mayhem

The 23rd of Crash.net's new MotoGP podcasts, featuring Keith Huewen, is now ready to download.

In the latest episode former grand prix rider, British champion and BT Sport commentator Huewen, Crash.net's MotoGP editor Peter McLaren and podcast host Harry Benjamin look back on the COTA MotoGP weekend.

The event began with riders labelling the bumpy surface as dangerous and issuing an ultimatum for 2022, before Francesco Bagnaia made it three pole positions in a row in qualifying, ahead of world championship rival Fabio Quartararo.

But COTA king Marc Marquez regained his crown on race day, making amends for the 2019 mistake with a seventh victory in Texas and only his second win since last July's arm injuries.

Second place for Fabio Quartararo has put the Frenchman on the brink of the MotoGP title, but the Moto2 contest looks set to go down to the final round after a rare mistake for Remy Gardner saw team-mate Raul Fernandez close to within 9 points with three rounds remaining.

The Moto3 class produced the most shocking images of the weekend in the form of a huge accident on the back straight that launched two riders – including title leader Pedro Acosta – into the air. Huewen - again back from commentating on BSB for Eurosport this weekend – gives his opinion on the latest shocking accident in the junior class as well as the two-race ban handed to Deniz Oncu for triggering the pile-up.
