After plenty of rumours, Yamaha has confirmed that Davide Brivio is to leave his role with its MotoGP team at the end of the current season.

Brivio, who most recently held the position of team manager for Valentino Rossi's side of the Yamaha garage, will leave his position following the Valencia season finale - although there has been no news on where he will now go.

Brivio will be replaced by the Yamaha World Superbike team manager Massimo Meregalli, who will take up the position of team director from 8 November in time for the post-season test at Valencia and will work alongside Wilco Zeelenberg 'to form an experienced and unified management team for 2011 and beyond'.

Meregalli will be replaced in his role within the World Superbike team by Andrea Dosoli, who will take up his new position on 10 November. Dosoli ran the Forward Racing Moto2 team during the 2010 season and was previously team manager for Marco Melandri during the 2009 MotoGP season.

Melandri will ride for Yamaha during the 2011 WSBK season alongside Eugene Laverty.
