British Eurosport to broadcast classic MotoGP races

To celebrate the start of the 2011 MotoGP World Championship, broadcasters British Eurosport has announced it will televise a series of classic races ahead of this year's events.

As before, British Eurosport will offer live coverage of all practice and qualifying sessions for the three classes, as well as show the Moto2 and 125cc races live.

But now in the hour-long delay before the MotoGP race is aired on the channel you can watch some of the best on-track battles from the last 25 years, as chosen by commentators Toby Moody and Julian Ryder. British Eurosport will then televise the delayed MotoGP race as planned.

With Valentino Rossi's much anticipated debut with Ducati approaching, the first classic race to be shown will, appropriately enough, be the 2004 South African GP in Welkom when the Italian last ventured into the unknown with Yamaha following his switch from Honda.
