"Fiat want to show [support] for the Italian football team," said Rossi. "The European Championship starts on Saturday but Italy plays on Monday. I like the bike; it is blue like the Italian jersey. It is quite good."
Rossi will be aiming to extend his world championship lead by taking his fourth victory in a row during Sunday's race.
Spanish team-mate Jorge Lorenzo is riding in standard Fiat Yamaha colours.
