Edwards, Rossi - naked?

Colin Edwards says he will "get naked and run down the front straight" if he wins the inaugural Indianapolis Grand Prix on Sunday - and Valentino Rossi may do the same!

During Thursday's pre-event press conference, the riders were asked if they planned to start any new Indy MotoGP race-winning traditions this weekend. The winner of the Indy 500 traditionally climbs up the trackside fencing, while the Indy NASCAR winner kisses the yard of bricks.

Colin Edwards says he will "get naked and run down the front straight" if he wins the inaugural Indianapolis Grand Prix on Sunday - and Valentino Rossi may do the same!

During Thursday's pre-event press conference, the riders were asked if they planned to start any new Indy MotoGP race-winning traditions this weekend. The winner of the Indy 500 traditionally climbs up the trackside fencing, while the Indy NASCAR winner kisses the yard of bricks.

"Just get naked and running down the front straight," suggested Edwards, who is still chasing his first grand prix victory. "Start it here. (Laughter), I'll do it. (Laughter)."

World championship leader Rossi, who has won the last three MotoGP races and will set a new all-time 500cc/MotoGP record if he takes his 69th win on Sunday, was then asked for his opinion:

"I agree with Colin. (Laughter). Naked."
