Quest will broadcast exclusive free-to-air highlights of MotoGP in 2019 in the United Kingdom having confirmed a late deal ahead of this weekend’s season opener in Qatar.

The channel, part of the Discovery group, currently holds a broadcast agreement with the British Superbike championship as part of its Eurosport partnership and has bolstered its motorsport output by nailing down a last-minute deal with rights holders Dorna to show highlights of every round of the 2019 season.

The highlights programme will be shown every Monday at 6pm following each round in a similar format previously held by ITV4.

BT Sport continues to hold live TV rights for MotoGP in the United Kingdom, having signed a three-year extension last year, meaning all live broadcasting of the grand prix motorcycle championship will remain on the paid channel until at least 2021.

The 19-round 2019 MotoGP season gets underway this weekend in Qatar at the Losail International Circuit (March 8-10).
