Andrea Iannone takes his first MotoGP victory and the first for Ducati since 2010, having held off team-mate Andrea Dovizioso.

Jorge Lorenzo likewise completed the podium after getting the better of his team-mate Valentino Rossi following a race long duel.

Five riders (Barbera, Bradl, Bautista, Hernandez and Crutchlow) were given jump start penalties, with Barbera black-flagged for failing to serve a ride-through.

Jack Miller was ruled out of the race after being diagnosed with hairline fractures to his T6 vertebra and right wrist following a heavy fall in morning warm-up.

Austria was returning to the MotoGP calendar for the first time since 1997. Ducati test rider Michele Pirro had a wild-card entry...
