Oliveira and Tech3 KTM take a shock victory in a 12-lap Styrian MotoGP sprint at the Red Bull Ring, Oliveira sweeping past both the Ducati of Miller and KTM of Espargaro as they fought at the final corner!

The original race was halted when Vinales had to bail off at 230km/h due to brake failure into turn one, the Spaniard was unharmed but his bike destroyed the air fence.

Mir had been leading from Nakagami and Miller when the race was stopped but did not have a new front tyre for the restart, when many other riders also switched from a medium to soft rear.

Zarco underwent surgery for a fracture to the scaphoid bone in his right wrist on Wednesday, sustained in last Sunday's huge accident with Morbidelli, returning on Saturday and qualifying third!

Zarco had to start the race from pitlane after being penalised for the incident with Morbidelli but was able to line-up on the grid for the restart.

Miller hurt his shoulder in a Saturday morning fall.

Reigning world champion Marc Marquez missed his fourth event after breaking his right arm in the MotoGP season opener and will be absent for another 'two-three months'. Marquez was again replaced by Stefan Bradl.

Francesco Bagnaia, who suffered a fracture to his right tibia at Brno, was replaced by Ducati test rider Michele Pirro for the second time.
