Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT organisers have issued a heavily revised race schedule that will see the event finish much earlier than planned.

Organisers for the event on the Isle of Man have been plagued by weather disruption during practice week.

The Manx Grand Prix races were due to be held ahead of the Classic TT, with the latter contests beginning on Monday 24 August and running to Friday 28 August.

However, a major schedule change has been issued by organisers due to poor weather forecasts for the week ahead.

Classic TT racing will now begin on Saturday 22 August and run alongside the Manx Grand Prix through to Monday, with the final Classic TT event now scheduled for Tuesday 25 August.

A full statement from the organisers read: “Following detailed consideration of the latest long-range weather forecast, which indicates wet weather, significant rainfall, and winds from Wednesday 26 until at least Friday 28, the Race Organiser has issued a substantially revised schedule for the remainder of the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT Races.

“The new schedule includes racing on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, with the Historic Junior Race brought forward to Saturday 22nd, the Formula One Race and combined Lightweight and Ultra Lightweight Races brought forward to Sunday 23rd, and the Historic Senior Race and Junior 600 Race brought forward to Monday 24th.

“The 2026 Classic TT is now scheduled to conclude on Tuesday 25th, with the Senior Classic TT followed by the 1996 Rewind Parade, Classic Sidecar Parade, and John McGuinness 30th Anniversary parade.”

This comes amid a difficult week for organisers, after two riders were killed in incidents on consecutive days during practice for the Manx Grand Prix.
