Club Cradley Heath have been handed a sponsorship boost as they prepare for their first fixture of the 2001 season.

L.P. Transport of Tividale has agreed to back the supporters-run club for a third successive season, and will also continue as teams main sponsors.

In addition the Heathens will have an official club sponsor, with the backing of Beaconsfield Products. It is hoped to provide the main six Club CH riders with specially ordered front covers for use in all matches.

The Heathens travel to Arena Essex on the outskirts of East London to face the Essex juniors in a second half challenge on Good Friday, 13th April. Just over a week later, they will head to Kings Lynn for a full 15-heat match against Conference League outfit Boston Barracudas.

This event will be taking place on Sunday 22nd April with a 6.00pm start time.

The clash with Boston will be a tough challenge against one of the most fancied teams in the Conference League this year. Club CH will be bolstered by the appearance of their first foreign rider. Finnish international, Jarno Kosonen has returned to amateur racing with Somerset this year and is joined in the Heathens line-up by Scotsman David McAllan, Jamie Holmes, Malcolm Holloway and Darren Smith, as well as Club CH regulars Dean Garrod and Mitch Barker.
