Collins and Baldwin survive horror smash.

Aidan Collins and Carl Baldwin are fortunate men after their horror crash at Arena Essex last night to emerge with no broken bones.

The pair had a coming together in heat twelve and after lengthy on-track treatment both riders went to hospital in different ambulances which caused the meeting to be abandoned.

At first, it was suspected that Collins had various fractures and back damage with Baldwin unconscious. However, after being detained in a local hospital overnight, further investigations indicate that Collins has no broken bones but is rather battered and bruised.

Baldwin also suffered no breaks but like Collins is very bruised. Both can count themselves very fortunate indeed not to have suffered worse and probably would have done had it not been for the presence of the Arena air fence which cushioned the blow considerably.
