Dani Sordo looks set to be named as the replacement for Jari-Matti Latvala in the Ford line-up for Rally Argentina, according to reports in Spain.

AUTOhebdo Sports reports that sources close to Sordo have confirmed the deal, which will see him line up alongside Petter Solberg for the next round on the calendar.

Although currently driving a MINI John Cooper Works for the Prodrive team, Sordo would be available for the Argentine event after his current team confirmed that its next outing in the series won't be until New Zealand in June [See separate story HERE].

While there has yet to be any official word from either Ford or Sordo, the Spaniard - who finished second on the season opener in Monte Carlo - has re-tweeted the AUTOhebdo Sports story through his official Twitter page.

Ford has been forced to look for a replacement for Latvala after the Finn broke his collarbone while cross-country skiing last week as part of his training programme.
