This is a first look of the bike Kawasaki hopes will catapult them out of Superbike mediocrity when it makes its racing debut in 2011.

Following on from a teaser sketch of the 2011-specification machine last season, the much anticipated Ninja ZX-10R has been revealed in full ahead of its first test outing around the Suzuki circuit in Japan.

While the image is not accompanied with any firm technical specifications as of yet, it is rumoured the bike has been designed with racing in mind as the company looks to overturn its reputation as the least accomplished of the current seven WSBK manufacturer entries.

The bike will undergo a rigorous testing regime ahead of its competition debut in 2011, when it will participate in World Superbikes and British Superbikes.

"What a fantastic looking, race focused machine," said MSS Colchester's Nick Morgan, team owner of Kawasaki's lead entry in the British Superbike Championship.

"It's no secret that Kawasaki want to be back on top of racing in World Superbike and the major domestic championships such as BSB and I think this could be the machine to make that happen. Our engineers are excited to get hold of one and our riders to jump upon one."
