Reports in the European press claim that team manager Davide Tardozzi has split from BMW with immediate effect, meaning he won't be present for this weekend's Magny-Cours World Superbike season finale.

Some reports say Tardozzi was sacked by BMW, others that he chose to quit due to irreconcilable differences.

Tardozzi made the surprise decision to leave the factory Ducati team at the end of last season, after helping the Italian brand claim 16 WSBK titles.

This year, the second for BMW in WSBK, the S1000RR has taken its first two podiums and a pole position, all with Troy Corser, although the Australian is only tenth in the championship.

Tardozzi's sudden exit isn't the only trouble brewing at BMW, which recently announced the signing of Leon Haslam for next season.

The non-German mechanics are threatening to strike this weekend due to a lack of pay and uncertainly over 2011 contracts.
