After months of waiting, motorcycle fans are gearing up for the start of the much anticipated 2011 World Superbike Championship at Phillip Island.

While the grid may be suffering somewhat in numbers, there is plenty of talent to make up for it, with a number of convincing contenders in line to wrest the WSBK crown from Max Biaggi.

The Italian remains 'the man to beat' following his convincing turn on the Aprilia RSV-4 in 2011, but the likes of Carlos Checa on the Althea Ducati and Jonathan Rea on the Castrol Honda are likely to provide stiff opposition.

Then there are the bevy of riders hoping a change of scenery will help them towards a titla challenge, most notably Leon Haslam at BMW, Michel Fabrizio at Suzuki, Noriyuki Haga at PATA Aprilia and James Toseland at BMW Italia.

Yamaha are also hoping its rookies - Marco Melandri and Eugene Laverty - can get into the mix, while Kawasaki are set to pose a bigger threat in 2011 than in recent years.

However, only one man can win and it's anyone's guess as to whom it will be come nine months time...

Which is why we're extending the question to you - who will win the 2011 World Superbike Championship?
